Postitioning Images?
Hi, I'm trying to make a site but I'm having some trouble. Detabeta
I'm wanting my site too look exactly this same as it does on my 1280x800 monitor, but it changes when at a different resolution. http://www.filecram.com/files/Screen05.JPG |

Re: Postitioning Images?
looks fine to me in FF, however, you do have an image load issue.
on rollover the second image takes about 3 seconds to load, maybe not an issue, but I am on a 1TB link. in total you page is 1.7mb of download, not good. you need to optimise those images now. i also don't like this mystery meat navigation - it would have me running away faster than wile e coyote chasing his dinner on a acme rocket... meep meep

Re: Postitioning Images?
I don't understand your problem either -- unless it's that you want the site centred.
Since you have created The Website from Hell, however, my advice would be to forget about it and make something better: something less annoying than an ugly, user-hostile, 1.7Mb collage. |

Re: Postitioning Images?
I would suggest place all those images that you have inside a wrapper div.
Give the wrapper div a width of 800px or 1000px depending on the width of your collage, and center it using margin: 0 auto; so it flexes with different resolutions. Inside the div, you can position all your graphic images using relative or absolute positioning as you have now. |
