Re: Changing from html to CSS
That's a complex layout for css!
I'm sure it can be done in css, but what' the point? Isn't that looks nice in table? I am pretty sure somebody that are professional in CSS would do it in table as well... Ask karinne, she is my "teacher" lol...

Re: Changing from html to CSS
I think so, maybe you should wait for other member in this forum to give their idea instead.
Maybe I was wrong about this, and maybe there are some of the designer out there that have done the same way in CSS, who knows Honestly, I went to check some of the popular CSS site that have this kind of form filling, and they are still using table for the form layout. Cheers

Re: Changing from html to CSS
Infact, now that i look at it, cant you just keep that info in a table? After all it is tabular data and is not for layout purposes.. I would recommend that you put the topic title in a H tag...

Re: Changing from html to CSS
Yes, It's not difficult doing that in CSS, but in this king of situation, it is better to use table. By the way,
I have with me a video tutorial on how to do a css form like this. It is done 100% in CSS, I'll have a look at it and get back to you soon..

Re: Changing from html to CSS
do you want that just as a page? or do you want to put that in a page? and is it using php? because its best to use css to layout a page but still use tables for php

Re: Changing from html to CSS
I agree with Marc as it is tabular data and it would be very easy to do something like that in CSS and it wouldn't take much doing but it looks good the way it is. If it for for page layout I would say use CSS but I think it looks fine.
Onew thing I would change though, is have the first column all the same width. Your descrition cell is smaller than the others and it looks odd |

Re: Changing from html to CSS
Things like a forum post display (like this very section here) is data and so should be coded in tables.
So ... this should stay in tables. If you have this online so I could actually "see" what it suppose to look like (I am human after all ... I ain't Neo |

Re: Changing from html to CSS
yeah, I read/saw a tutorial on this kind of things and it is very "boring" process.
You'll play around with margin, padding and clear a lot! Stick to table..
