Lightbulb 123-reg Vs UK2.net

Everyones help would be greatly appreciated with regards to this:

Which site is better:

www.123-reg.co.uk
or
www.uk2.net

When I say better I am referring to the overall look of the sites, their usability, accessibility and simplicity.

Any constructive criticism about which is better would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 123-reg Vs UK2.net

uk2.net is better for me. It's easier to read, simpler to navigate, looks more professional, echoes what it is in it's design. I also think the 'slick' look works for technology service companies.

The other site is very good, but I'm not sure about the design choices that were made. It looks as though it is trying to be my friend. I don't want a friend I want hosting or a domain. The design itself is done very well, I just think it's wrong for that company.

Pete.

UK2, it looks more professional, and that instill's confidence in their ability to provide excellent service.

Re: 123-reg Vs UK2.net

I've used 123-reg for me and for a client.

Service was ok, and theiur customer relations are excellent - when I decided to leave they gave me a refund which I thought was excellent.

I like UK2. Nice simple, smooth and clean.
I like the colour blue but 123-reg doesn't pull it off.

Re: 123-reg Vs UK2.net

123reg used to be a joy but it seems to have gone to the dogs a bit since changing hands to pipex. The main complaint seems to be customer service.

Personally not used them in a couple of years so I can only speak from here-say and reading reviews - most of which are bad.

Re: 123-reg Vs UK2.net

I found 123-reg interface a bit basic, not as good as oneandone.co.uk (but never used uk2)

Re: 123-reg Vs UK2.net

123 does look a bit like its been designed for cbbies, but never judge a book by its cover. what you need to do is find their clients, and find out about customer service.

and an extra note, sorry if you already know this but the cheapest isnt always the best, if its hosting you are using them for as well, then paying an extra 2-3 dollars a year will be worth it if your site works, loads in less than 5 mins and is up and running 100% of the time.

hope this helps
