Question Site trouble HELP

its been a while since ive designed anything with html, and i got this program called site spinner2.5 that is a drag and drop program that then converts everything to code when it is uploaded.
The problem is that when i upload it everything that is on my page turns out with red x's on the corners like they dont exist, I have tried going into the code and changing directory names, but i cant figure out how to make it work.

ANY HELP?

also there are tons of directories when i log into my server, and im confused at what they all are for

Re: Site trouble HELP

I agree - it sounds like the images are not uploaded or they are not in the correct place.

Right click on one of the red xs and choose properties. What is the URL to that and can you verify the image(s) are in that place on your website?

Re: Site trouble HELP

I would have to say yes at this point but without seeing the URL, it is difficult to say.

Re: Site trouble HELP

  • check your images are where they are in the script
  • check your using correct slashes, eg \ should be /
  • check to see if they are uploaded
  • try hitting the image in your browser, eg images/test.gif, youll get a 404 if its not there
sorry to echo(" the above comments "); (haha did u like that guys.....lol)

Re: Site trouble HELP

Also if you are on a *NIX server, the file names are case sensitive - meaning image.gif is not the same as image.GIF

Re: Site trouble HELP

How about a link to the site/page in question?
