slices

well... i have created a website that I have designed in photoshop... bt i need 2 slice it.
bt have tried on photoshop b4 and was very tricky, and ended up with too many slices... i no will probably swnd lyk a complete noob, but cud sum1 tell me an easier way to slice images please

OK ... half of that I didn't understand. Please write in English ... this is a forum after all not a chat room.

You want to slice your mock-up ... is that right? Post it here and I'll help you out.

The trick is to see what can be applied with the background-color or -image property in css.

yeh thats what I want, to slice up my mock up design.

There's nothing to slice there really. Just your header without the text for the menu since you could do that with plain css.

I would apply the white border to the body and center it. Then the orange border to a content container of some sort.

The rest (the content area) is just background-color with borders. So ... apart from your pictures and the search button, I would only see 1 image there.

Thanks a lot for your help. But because I am still learning could you please also help me with css, I no the basics but I wouldnt no where to begin with what you just said.

HTMLDog has some great CSS tutorials.

Resources for learning how to use CSS for layout would be another good place to go for css layouts example.

Basicllay you want to look at your comp and visualize how it will layout in code. (I am a weirdo and can picture the code in my head visually). Basically in its simplest form a web page is nothing more than a composition of squares and rectangles. Hope that helps simplify it.
