Liquid Layouts and Max-Width
Hi,
I have been reading a lot today here in the forum about liquid layout. I normally use liquid layout, but also have the problem that the bigger the resolution the more it breaks some of the design, like stretching the text so that it seems to drop slightly. I understand why this happens, but thought I might find a solution in this forum how to work around this problem. One solution I came across was the max-width. Can you please let me know if I understand this correctly: if I give the wrap div a width of say 90% and a max-width of 1024 it will never get wider than 1024 now matter how hight the resolution? Thank you very much for your advise on this. Sporky |

Re: Liquid Layouts and Max-Width
Max width is only a width thing, and is independent from height. The only hitch is that max-width isn't IE6 supported without hacks.
See if you can find a decent hack on Google: http://www.google.com/search?q=max-width%20ie |
