FIREWORKS
Hii guys, I'm new to this forum and to webdesign in general and I hope to learn a great deal from all ya'll in here. Recently, I have been doing some work with Macromedia Fireworks and I think its a really cool application. But when I came here, nobody seems to mention it besides all the HTML. PHP and CSS talk. So I was wondering is it really a good application or am I on the wrong track... Holla Anyone.... |

Well, that depends what you're using it for...
For the most part people here use Photoshop for quality graphics, simply because it's far more powerful than Fireworks. Fireworks isn't bad for vector graphics and integration with Flash though. |

To be honest with you fireworks and freehand together are more of the way it is supposed to be done if your using macromedia products. I believe (I might be wrong) that fireworks main intention was to be used to create a graphical website where you can easily cut it up and transfer it over to Dreamweaver. Freehand on the other hand is mainly for creating images. Fireworks can also be used to edit photos. create banners, and all that good stuff as well.
I started out with Fireworks and now I am a die hard PS7 user. I just like the flow of the interface better. |
