Drop Menu Help

Ok, I cant seem to position this menu I have. I got the source from another place, and am not sure where to check if they showed how to position it. The code :

I want to position it down about 350 px from the top. Everytime I use the position: absolute;
top: 350px;
code the menu stops working. When I mouse over the content nothing drops out. Anysolution to position this and keep it working?? I am stuck. Thanks for any help.

instead of trying to apply an absolute position to a generic element, you should use a class and hold the menu in between <div> brackets
