slideshows...

yo, i'm back again with yet more questions...
right, so i'm a graphic designer, i only got out of uni like a year and a half ago but business is picking up slowly but surely. i produce graphics for print mainly and a few basic websites.

here is my site: www.duncanwoods.co.uk

i have built my website to try and showcase my work and i have used a slideshow to allow people to view my portfolio. problem is its fine the first time you look through it but if you wanna see a particualar piece of work again you have to sit through the whole slideshow again!

i thought about changing it to a horizontal scroll but it looks a bit ****.
ideally i would like to use flash to put in some fancy scroll bar but i dont know enough about this kind of thing. so basically i thought i wuld ask you guys for some suggestions? how would you handle the problem??

i would like to include something that allows you alter the spped of the slideshow but i dont even know if that is possible in dreamweaver??

oh and go easy on my site... i'm a begginer!

Re: slideshows...

arent you over complicating the issue?

Just create a new page where users can select thumbnails of your work for easy (and fast) viewing.

Re: slideshows...

Well in that case what you could do is take some tuts for flash and learn to create a selectable slideshow or you can use powerpoint and do it the gay way. im pretty sure you can use javascript to to do something like you want but im not good at it myself. im just trelling you what i know.

Re: slideshows...

Check out hotscripts.com for a JavaScript solution. I would recommend using a bit of JS.
