My question is that..From HTML or from which coding ... Is it possible to design discussion forum in a my own web site?

What do you mean??? be more specific. Like for example, what kind of forum are you going to use? That will let someone tell you exactly how to do it.

Ok, you want to know what language you should use in order to build a discussion forum?

Well obvious HTML has to be used to display the content as you're viewing it online, but HTML isn't dynamic - It can't change interactively. So you'll need a server-side technology such as ASP, PHP, JSP, CGI, etc. There are many to choose from each with different good points, bad points and followers. ASP and PHP are very popular. If you get webspace with a server-side technology it will nearly have ASP or PHP at least.

However I would advise against building your own discussion forum. It's a fairly difficult task, especially for someone like yourself who, as of yet, doesn't know any scripting languages!! There are many out there to choose from. A good site, with a huge amount of scripts is Hotscripts. You'll find message boards in almost every programming language.

Some good ones to look out for are:
Snitz (ASP) - What we are using
PHPBB (PHP!) - Very popular

its really hard to create even a simple discussion forum. I've hard-coded one myself but without all the smilies and all the stuff; just text ..

Well u all might be thinking tht my questions r always very difficult..What can i do my teacher always gave me assignments like this which dosent have solution.
