CSS Difficult?

Hi all,

I have been designing my websites in Dreaweaver and the CSS templates have always confused me, so have never used them

I read somewhere that CSS is the way forward, are they difficult to design with?

I'm sorry, haven't got the foggiest about these, but before I go forking out on a book just wanted to get some opinions.

yes CSS is the way forward and saves time and effort in the long-run. However, if you are using dreamweaver im not sure that matters.

CSS is pretty lean, and allows for some neat effects.

Take a look at one of my sites :- www.seacrofthotel.co.uk

Those navigation rolloevers are CSS. Notice also the ability to change the color scheme (just below nav)

CSS makes this, and a whole lot more very possible, and keeps the source code's size to a minimum.

Rob, pretty neat, I like the purple! Did you know when you click on the blue version though, the formatting seems to go a bit funny - I've using a 17 tft at work with high res and it was still too wide for my screen

Smokie, please can you explain what you mean a little further, do I not need to use CSS as I use dreamweaver is that what you mean?

Hi again,

just a quick book suggestion which is a good all rounder. Good for reference too when you think you know it all, but then need a refresher :wink:.

I got the previous edition to the same book some time back and its still a great book. Pick up a copy and have a glance in the store and make your own mind up.
