Dreamweaver question

With a full return the spacing between line seems too large 'massive'. One of the things I am missing is being able to control the text with the same contol as somthing like freehand or illustrator.

Is there a way of getting the nice space after effect with text. The gaps are so big between one para and next could drive a bus through them.

any tips appreciated

Re: Dreamweaver question

Use the <p> (paragraph) tags. You can use CSS to control the spacing, margins and line-height if you don't like the default settings.

I see the <P> tag happens when I hit return.

Re: Dreamweaver question

Accurax is correct. Shift + enter gives you a single spaced break!

Re: Dreamweaver question

Wow thanks that worked in dreamweaver. That is already an improvement.
Will still look at the CSS

Re: Dreamweaver question

mmmm its a bit like a soft return. All the para attributes such as bullets go with it?

Re: Dreamweaver question

Well, we're sort of getting into hand coding here, but these two references will get you over the hump:

http://w3schools.com/xhtml/
http://w3schools.com/css/

These display the power of CSS. The latter has tutorials:

Re: Dreamweaver question

Don't give this guy bad advice like this! Read up on semantics, hand coding, XHTML and CSS. You'll be much better off after a couple of weeks of learning.
