Best fonts to use

Hi,

I read that you're only meant to use the basic fonts, ie Times New Roman, Arial, Courier, Monospace, Verdana, etc.) so that all computers can read them. Is this still the case, or is there more scope nowadays?

Thanks,

Ruby

Re: Best fonts to use

Hi Ruby....

I would basically stick to these fonts:-
Arial
Arial Black
Arial Narrow
Book Antiqua
Century Gothic
Comic Sans MS
Courier New
Fixedsys
Franklin Gothic Medium
Garamond
Georgia
Impact
Lucida Console
Lucida Sans Unicode
Microsoft Sans Serif
Palatino Linotype
System
Tahoma
Times New Roman
Trebuchet MS
Verdana

With the advent of Vista a new font called Sergoe UI is available which I personally think looks nice on the web but you MUST specify an alternative sans-serif font as not all people are running vista.

Hope this helps.

Now that's not exactly good advice.

Every font no matter how good or bad has situations where it would be perfect.
