Re: New Designer Resources

The well loved psdtuts has just launched another sister site NETTUTS

At the moment it's a bit bare but with the quality that is on psdtuts... it looks like a promising one to watch.

One real good source for beginners, and my main source of info is Joe Barta, and his PageTutor site!

I forgot to add, He has a bunch of tutorials on HTML, javascript, tables, forms, frames, as well as a large list of additional resources. Some of the material is free, some requires a paid membership. Take a look at the site!

One part that was missed off the very comprehensive list was jQuery stuff.

Quote:
jQuery is a fast, concise, JavaScript Library that simplifies how you traverse HTML documents, handle events, perform animations, and add Ajax interactions to your web pages. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript.
So here is a quick list:

Re: New Designer Resources

In offering jquery stuff, i think you should inform them of other frameworks out there, like mootools, YUI, Scriptalicious and Prototype
I think they're the main contenders along side Jquery, All have good and bad points, it really depends on what your target objective is.

Sorry, i just think it unfair to point one out and not the others, or atleast not state that their are alternatives.

Although from personal experience, as good as mootools is, it's got a bit of a 'snobbish' community imo.
