Useful tools and add-ons for web development

After scouring through the many helpful threads we have here I thought it would be useful to consolidate a list of all the useful add-ons and tools that make your life easier as a web developer:

FireFox:
  • web developer toolbar - Swiss Army knife and all-in-one survival kit in web development...
  • firebug - Super Swiss Army knife and all-in-one survival kit in web development...
  • yslow - shows you how fast your page loads and how long each artifact takes to download.
  • IE tab - allows you to see what your pages look like in IE without having to have IE - woo hoo...
  • Fangs - screen reader emulator for accessibility testing
  • AdBlock Plus - gets rid of those icky little ads
  • FireFTP - FTP client built straight into firefox
  • screengrab - Screengrab saves entire webpages as images...
  • colorzilla - Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies...
  • Operaview - view web pages in opera within firefox...
  • XML developer toolbar - The XML Developer's Toolbar!!...
  • Link Checker - Check the validity of links on any webpage...
  • KGen keyword generator - llows you to see what keywords are strong on visited web page. Than, you can retrieve them for social sharing (tag filling) or webmastering/SEO.
  • RankQuest SEO - you are only one or two clicks away from carrying out most of your day to day SEO...
  • StumbleUpon - for when you get bored...
  • colourtabs - to make your tabs look pretty - not sure why but it makes me smile!
