site looks diffreent in firefox. help please!

I just happen to open firefox today to take a look at my site but was shocked to discover that it was so large that you had to scroll horizontally! it's fine in explorer so what did i do wrong?? please help cos i know very little about web designing. thank you

Not sure at all how to fix this since it's been ages since I use the now deprecated tables for layout

can i ask you a quick qestion. was my green a sickly green? it's meant to be a very very dark green but since i found out about monitor brightness my green is quite sickly looking now. thank you for your help i will look the link up.

I think it looks kind of sickly because of the sickly orange.

You need a better color scheme IMO

but i don't know what other colour to use and the dark green looked alright at least it did when my monitor brightness was lower but i will go take a look at the 2 links to see other options. thanks for your help.

I see that it's down. You really need to ditch the tables for layout and start using css. It's so much more flexible as well as table layout if frowned upon by the W3C. Once you start using css for layout, you'll wonder why you didn't do it before

no the site is fine now.

this css sounds so complicated. it took me like almost forever just to get this site up with dreamweaver as i'm extremely incompetent when it comes to this sort of techie thing.

CSS is great. Once you get the hang of it, you'll find it's so much easier to control than tables. Have a look at the CSS resources in the stickies and have a look at some tutorials.....you won't want to go back to tables when you understand it a bit more.......you can even style tables with CSS
