[SOLVED] quick question

What commands would you use to upload and download files to and from an FTP site? Cheers

not the Cute FTP Software but the commands.

Re: quick question

Commands?!?! You don't need commands. Usually you can either drag your files across or select your files and then click the proper icon to download or upload.

Re: quick question

Yep, you dont need commands to use FTP - it is usually drag and drop. If you want a drag and drop FTP program (unless you already have one) File Zilla is pretty good.

Re: quick question

are you talking about using the cmd prompt to upload files?
Unless you are very familiar with this tool then I would suggest getting a FTP program, as this will "visually" show you what you are doing.

As marc mentions File Zilla is very good, but you also have in built ones within developer tool sets, such as dreamweaver, pspad, etc

Re: quick question

Oh... Now that i look at the question again you are asking what the FTP Commands are and not CoreFTP. Here is a site i find helpful: http://www.nsftools.com/tips/MSFTP.htm.
