PHP Beginner...

I have now a confident knowledge of Photoshop, (x)HTML and CSS. I can design sites without tables in Dreamweaver and now would like to move on to PHP. Which site would you reccommend? Is there a book that might do it for me?

Opinions welcome

Jack

Re: PHP Beginner...

You could start with

www.w3schools.com
www.tizag.com

and it's worth looking at books

if you need to create a membership system you could have a look here

http://www.devarticles.com/c/a/PHP/C...ship-System/1/

There are plenty of tutorials and articles on PHP so you should always be able to find what you want

Also, I would recommend checking out Lynda.com for PHP video tutorials. I just like videos much better then books...lol.

Yes, you see the professionals screen and what he is coding as he explains it. Same way most computer tutorials work. For example, cartoonsmart.com with flash.

Re: PHP Beginner...

It would be very helpful. If you want to write one I would be glad to make it a sticky. Just make sire it is grammatically correct, and original. If you decide to do this, send it to me for approval via PM before you post it.

Will do that
I'll start now
and I might write a tutorial for the newsletter,
depending on how long until the next is released.
