Submitting Forms
What is the best way to have a form that is already developed as a Word doc to be filled out online and returned to the site developer?
I can turn the docs into pdf files and have them filled out by inserting fields into the form (which I have done), but I don't know how to have the forms returned to me. The forms I'm talking about include a contract, a personal history, a hierarchy line, etc. |

Re: Submitting Forms
Can't you get the people to save the form and send it via email?

Re: Submitting Forms
They cannot save the filled-out form as it is in pdf. I would like to have a workable "Submit" button that would actually forward the form(s) back to me. That is my question: how do I set it up in order to achieve that goal?

Re: Submitting Forms
Is this something you disabled? 'Cause you can save the forms, fill them out and send the pdf via email.

Re: Submitting Forms
I don't know that I've specifically disabled it. I just know that I turned a doc into pdf, inserted fields and put in on my web site. One can go to the form, fill it in and print it, but a box pops up before they start filling it out notifying them they cannot save the file. So what should I do to get it to work? Also, when I try to insert the URL, it gives me an error message, even though that is the email address that is set up on our web site.

Re: Submitting Forms
Look into File > Document Security or Document Properties ... see if there's something in there that will help you.

Re: Submitting Forms
I tried to see if there was a connection to make in the security section of Acrobat 4.0 and there is none that applies to what I want to do. After making the pdf or rather turning my form into pdf, I would like to have the user be able to fill out the form, which they now can, and then return the entire completted form to me via email with the "Submit" button - which they cannot do. Adobe is not letting me make that happen. Am I missing something to insert or set up? Or is the only way the entire form could be sent back to me once completed on the web site is via a middle mail service that can attach it as is (such as mudmail)? Or should I have a better version of Acrobat (like 7.0 standard or professional)?
