Re: They are taking legal action

Hi everyone,

So let that be a lesson, to me anyway. I now have the files, they only had the cheek to ask to host the web site lol,

As we all know the code needs working on, So I will be in touch with SEO peeps in the morning, I believe the files need to be arranged in a certain manner, but i have had a long day.

I would like to thank everyone again, if you or a friend needs a little bit of plumbing sorted Im sure i can assist.

oh and If you want your pc fixed, I can offer advice on this, but i think you most probably got that covered.

good night

Re: They are taking legal action

Actually the payment of £100 as a deposit is a form of contract since you both agreed it was a deposit. Just as if you were buying a bed or a slice of beef and you put down a £100 as a deposit it means that you both agreed to exchange goods or services on completion of the order.

The question arises about the completed job, is the finished job a completion of the work ordered? That is where the legal stuff is. You both must have some sort of specification because how could the job have been started. If the job does not stand up to the specification then you have rights under law and if it does stand up to specification then they have rights under law - hope this helps.
