Advice

Hi

This is my first post so please be gentle!

I would like some advice from you guys or girls as to which direction to go in? I have just returned back to the UK after spending 3 years in Spain, and oh my god how things have changed! everything is web based. I would like to learn Web development / design! but can you advise me on which one to master first! xml,sxl,css,asp.net etc...... which are the ones that companies use ? I have completed courses like VB6, Java, a HNC in software engineering

help!

Re: Advice

Start out here www.w3schools.com (great tutorials).

I would suggest learning in this corder...

HTML, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, PHP w/ MySQL.

Beyond that things become specialized and you will need to determine what exactly you need to learn. Those are the basics.

Re: Advice

XML or XHTML? Two very different things. You need to learn XHTML.
