Ideas????

Hi,

I have been asked by a friend to basically design/administrate his real estate companies site. I am a beginner in the world of code, but have done a bit with wysiwyg. The site requires a search facility through their property listings (up to 200 at a time) with fields such as area, postcode, price range, etc... They also want a login facility for customers, maps, and potential a control panel where they can upload new properties on their own. I have plenty of time to do this, and i haven't said yes yet, but am up for the challenge.

Can I create this with a css site, or do i need to use maybe php/mysql??

Any Ideas to help me with a start point would be great.

Cheers

Re: Ideas????

I don't know anything to do with login things but you will need to use php to let people login and use MySQL to store the data for the users.

Ryan Fait i think knows about this sort of thing so i think he could maybe help ya more on how to do it.

Re: Ideas????

Definitely PHP with a MySQL database so you can store all the properties and then doing a search on the different criterias will be a piece of cake.

For the login stuff and other php help, have a look at this iste - Joe2torials - a few good scripts in there to get you started.

If you need help, post a question in the PHP section of the forums and someone will help you out over there

Welcome to the forumz BTW.
