Need assistance with Admin configuration?

This is Casca,
I introduced myself in an early topic, regarding the inception of a family business and deciding to offer a subject forum.

My background is academic and not the technical side of forum operation. However it was not that difficult to follow the instruction and set-up the new forum. This is just a test to see if there is a genuine interest in the subject of historical maps as a forum.

I have three questions regarding the new forum, with the hope that a member can offer some practical advise.

Domain name:
As this is just a test forum and therefore it is a free product with ads, in this domain name slot it says "www.bbfast.com/ should anything be added to this? to me the instruction is not clear?

Script path: My forum is called http://historicmapsres.com/ is this to be added to the script path?

How do I resolve this problem?

thank you,

Casca

Re: Need assistance with Admin configuration?

Well, I have my own personal recommendations. First use a reliable website host...like godaddy.com, or site5.com. They both support forums, and install them for you.

If money is an issue and you are looking for a good free website host...that doesn't put stupid ads all over the forum, I would recommend talking to some of the people around here, most of them have reseller plans and would be glad to host you for free...that way the are using all of there space, and not letting it go to waste. I am thinking of a couple people in particle...I will just wait and see if they post up here, as I am sure they will soon.
