google webmaster tools vs search results

So in my google webmaster tools, I can see that I have over 1500 links back to my site, however, putting link:http://mysite.com into google only returns 30 - 40 results.

How can I get google to take into account all these other links?

Don't worry about the result of the "link:" search for 2 reasons:

1. If you see it in Google Webmaster tools then Google knows about it and IS taking them into account.

2. Google doesn't want everyone to know everything it knows - it is well known NOT to show all backlinks in "link:" searches...

PS.: Google reports 549 links to my site whereas Yahoo shows 4.500+ links.
Check out some other sites and you will see the trend...

I agree with both!
Thats right specially reason 2 , Google always don't show all links in result of link:site.com for all sites.
