No telling really. It's a human edited directory. So whenever they get around to it probably. The next issue is... did you do it right or put it in the right subsection.
I find it hard to get in.

Your chances of being listed on Dmoz are low. They reject the vast majority of applications. This quality control makes them the most desirable directory; Google is known to be heavily influenced by Dmoz listings.
If your site is genuinely among the most useful web resources for its subject, then you will probably get in. Otherwise -- no chance.

Re: How my site will be listed in DMOZ...???
Submitting to DMOZ is an artform. Whole companies have sprung up to deal with submissions.
As an ex-editor I can tell you that submissions can take up to two years to be accepted or rejected.
You are well within your rights to re-submit after twelve months, although resubmitting often will only alienate the editor and likely get you binned before you start.

Re: How my site will be listed in DMOZ...???
It really depends. Rob here seems to know much more than the rest of us as he just said he's been an editor of it.
I've got listed several times myself fairly quickly (a few weeks) but I entered into a relatively small category of local listings for my nearest town.

Re: How my site will be listed in DMOZ...???
It can take months, and most of the time you have to submit it a few times. At the end of the day its people who decide if you get in, and some of them have motives for not letting you in - they may even run a particular category because they own a site in that category.
I have a few sites that have 3 or 4 listings each , but it has taken ages for that to happen, it certainly wont happen over night.

Re: How my site will be listed in DMOZ...???
Hi!
DMOZ is a human driven directory which means that submission to it has do go through a human character. That could mean many, many things and unfortunately creates unpredicted circumstances. So, I don't think anybody could say that there is a specific time in which you get results.
DMOZ is one of those sites you submit and forget about it. If you are in you are in, if not... don't sweat, you can try more sites to submit your website anyway!
Cheers!

The probelem i feel is that the new site has a different directory structure and my current pages that are indexed by search engines will be invalid. will this affect the PR.
