Re: Optimizing my Site
Thanks for the tip! I have read that if your serious about getting good rankings, you should consider yahoo and thats it. But if youve made it to no1 with seo expert london with free submissions, articles etc Ill give it a miss! Now must write an article...

Re: Optimizing my Site
No directory is worth money getting yourself into. But here's another gem for you...
FreeIndex.co.uk is (in my opinion) the best and highest quality business directory in the UK. Usually the FreeIndex listing of my sites rank along with the actual website amongst all the competition. So you know you have a quality listing/link on your hands...
That's it now, no more trade secrets! LOL

Re: Optimizing my Site
There are articles that suggest that paid directory's actually hinder your position in google, wether that's actually true or not i do not know.
I always found this article useful

Off topic, get rid of the horrible background pattern

It is rather 'loud' and distracting, i suggest making it fainter? or a colour with little contrast agains the white background.

Re: Optimizing my Site
Thanks Spinal,Im already registered on freeindex I signed up about a year ago, I get a few hits!
I do get alot of traffic from www.bodymodified.com
Regarding my bg pattern, I like it, infact Ive had many comments from customers and Ive had a job offers saying my site stands out, so its actually made me money, so Im going to keep it, but thanks for you comments I did think about making it a light grey once but Its a bit boring, the text is legible so that all what counts.
Thanks Ben

Re: Optimizing my Site
Well that's your call as a designer, and a designer can never see things the same way as a client

Re: Optimizing my Site
Very nice. That's the way forward.
PS.: Some (most) directories let you have 2 links so don't waste the article on just one link. Create 2 links to 2 different pages on your website.
