Real Time Statistics?
Is there a free(or fairly cheap) statistics service, like Google Analytics that shows you in real time viewers who came to your site, etc.? Google currently updates once every several hours.

Re: Real Time Statistics?
you should be able to get this info within your control panel of your web host, if not then just google 'web statistics' or something like that, there are probably hundreds supplying that sort of service

Re: Real Time Statistics?
it’s not free, but foglight ( http://www.quest.com/foglight/) is probably one of the best monitoring tools out there at the moment. Unlike Google Analytics or Webtrends, it provides real time data, as it sniffs the network traffic rather than analysing log files.

Re: Real Time Statistics?
as the guys mentioned above the only way to get live stats is to analyse your raw log files.
but why would you want this anyway? (if you don't mind me asking)

Re: Real Time Statistics?
I think that the best option for you would be logs based statistics. Only in this case you can understand that it would be trough. BTW web hosting companies do offer such opportunity (awstats )

Re: Real Time Statistics?
awstats gives real time statistics, but some hosts have it set to only update once a day. This can be overrided by changing the .conf file. "Allow browser update" needs to be set to 1. Also permisions on the file need to be changed to 444 after uploading.
I think the above is correct, since its been a while since I did it.
