My mates site is in the www. wilderness! Please help

I wanted to check out my mates Flash site to see how well it was doing in search rankings and if the was anything I could do to help as my friend has not taken any steps to do this himself as computers are not his thing.

I am not a web designer, but what I found was to me a bit shcking!

-Page Description Not Found
-No Meta Keywords Found
-Permanent Redirect Not Found
-Google PageRank: 0
-0 use of SEO
- 5 years 6 months old

One thing, The website was developed over 5 years ago and has not been updated since. Was the stuff listed above not used 5 years ago? Shouldn't this all be mandatory when designing a site?

I am familiar with basic SEO when dealing with HTML but not sure how it works with Flash as I understand that the bots cant read it. (I did read a recent post that has the link to Google webmaster site)

How do I go about applying the SEO written content and headings? do you do as much of this as possible in the page that the flash sits in?

So I seem to have found faults with the site that I will point out to my friend, I can rectify these if he likes. But Please help identify anything else!

well he needs a html version of his site. it really is that simple. at present spiders can not read flash. so he will need a html version with a flash sniffer on it, if they detect flash it wil zip them off the the fancy site, as spiders do not have flash then will see the html version.

then its a matter of basic seo, keep it updated with relevant content and get loads of backlinks.

I dont consider having an html version of a flash site cloaking. With or without a sniffer.

I suggest you make some landing pages for your website and target main keywords where u want ranking in website.

If you want your website in search engine so your website must be need some good back links.

you make first page in HTML version.

Do some SEO Activities then your website will come in search engine as per your keywords requirements.
