Re: Number one
don't mean to spoil the party but, I hardly think a newbie is gonna search for "web design and development help". It's great to know that the association has been established with all those words, but IMO, the important results are "web development help" and "web design help" individually.
webforumz is 1st for " web development help" and only 6th for " web design help" - but it's the only forum in the top 10, so users looking for a forum will get here in the end.
Oh, did anyone notice the competition? (72,000,000)
Now THAT is something...

Re: Number one
Now, let me be the one to ruin your excitement. If you search Google for " web design and development help", what unitedcraig originally did, you will not find WebForumz within the first 10 pages at all. I didn't go further than that so I don't know on what page it actually is, but I know it's far, far behind.
And the proof is attached!
So, Craig, not sure what you did, but that screenshot is not accurate. WF is NOT the first result!

Re: Number one
i search on google. co.uk, not .com.
and if you see the attached screen shot, you will see that WF is 6th on .com, and the reason that it is not on the first 10 pages is that it's on the first lol, just under where your screen shot ends lol
Well that's what happens on mine anyway :S

Re: Number one
of course, google.co.uk will give preference to UK hosted websites whereas google.com will give preference to US hosted websites...

Re: Number one
OK. Since you think that I cut off result #6, I zoomed out and did a fullscreen shot. What now? No WF anywhere on the page! It's because you're logged in, and Google gives preference to sites that you visit often. If you weren't logged in like me, and you cleared your cache, you'd get the same result. No WF on any of the first 10 pages!

No Stuart, you don't see webforumz because it's hosted in the UK and Google gives preference to US hosted website when you search on Google .com. We're searching on google .co.uk.
THAT's why you don't see it for the first 10 or whatever pages....

Re: Number one
Although, we are 1st for 'web design forums' in google uk. second on .com
Even if you strip the 's' from forums we're stil in the top 5 on both.
Same for 'web development forums'
Those terms are also just a drop in the ocean -we have tons more impressive ones.
