[SOLVED] Keyword Stuffing?

Do you reckon I've stuffed "Unmoderated Forum" and "Unmoderated Forums" too much on Unmoderated-Forum.com?
I really want to rank #1 for these terms.

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

well you have a density of 11.11% and 6.3% respectivly for these terms.

Most research (that I have so far read) points out that approx 5% - 7% density is optimum

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

Right, does this mean that I now have to remove some of the words or can I just add more text that doesn't use those keywords?

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

Reading it, I must admit it 'feels' a bit stuffed, but mainly because that's what I was looking for in the first place

If I had stumbled on / visited your site straight off, I think it reads fine.

Just my opinion

And yeah, perhaps add a little more text to reduce the density, but definitely keep the keywords you've got in so far

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

You must limit the repeatition of words (keywords)... That's the big deal for that...Don't stuff multiple words...

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

I disabled the CSS and all I see is a bunch of bold "unmoderated forum" everywhere.
It sure does seem like keyword stuffing, but I think you'll be fine, considering you don't have any direct competition.

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

Few more questions then.
Where would be best place to get backlinks from?
For directories, what would be the best category?
What other keywords should I be targeting?

Re: Keyword Stuffing?

Where would be best place to get backlinks from?
Get backlinks from anywhere (every directory you can get ahold of), but the best links are those within the content of the linking page, which is why publishing articles and tutorials is the bets way to get incoming links - they are the most valuable links.

For directories, what would be the best category?
I have no idea. I personally think any category will do. But a general category would be 'Internet', or perhaps something more specific like 'Discussion Forums' if available.

What other keywords should I be targeting?
I've never thought about 'unmoderated forums' so I don't know, you tell me.
What gave you the idea? What might your target audience search for? What words might they use? Bingo - those are your words.

Re: [SOLVED] Keyword Stuffing?

That would be good, I'll see if I can do a vector of it or something.
Bad news. I seem to have lost my rankings on google
This thread even ranks higher.

Re: [SOLVED] Keyword Stuffing?

...and this thread. You've been bumped down to 45. Looks like Google does think you're stuffing too many keywords in there.

For what it's worth, a (generally) good guide that I use is to:
- not do anything more than 3 times (Bold phrase, emphasis phrase, underlined phrase, link titles, etc)
- add the phrase to other media on the page (ie.: images).
- make sure the phrase is near the beginning and the end of the page

The other thing that is really important is that, the phrase must be your 'theme' throughout the website with some emphasis on every page. So don't worry too much about having it all other the front-page - concentrate on achieving a good healthy balance on every page of the website...

Re: [SOLVED] Keyword Stuffing?

I've been there and done that before and with fresh content had the site back up in a week.
You should have no problem with that being a forum - just as long as GoogleBot keeps crawling you daily...
