Re: noloafing.co.uk
Well, your SEO status is determined by how successfully you are ranking for search terms.
Do you have a marketing plan? What kind of searches are you trying to rank highly for? Are you interested in making money from your visitors, or do you just want to be popular? Your code is the last thing I would worry about in terms of SEO. It's not terribly important compared to your overall marketing and promotional scheme. Still, if it makes you feel better: I think your code is fine for SEO. Frankly, a lot of SEO is a complete waste of time. It's fiddling. While designers fiddle with their code, they often neglect to identify a market and promote their pages. Why? Because fiddling with code is easy. Identifying and satisfying a market is hard. A lot depends on whether you want to make this into a business. If you do, you'll need to make some difficult, concrete assessments of its potential to attract traffic and convert traffic into money. If you're just running this as a hobby, then you can afford to play around as much as you want. Last edited by MikeHopley; Dec 20th, 2007 at 10:41. |

Re: noloafing.co.uk
Wouldn't it make more sense to have a keyword rich domain name such as the-net-is-dying.com?
I don't even know what noloafing is meant to mean!

Re: noloafing.co.uk
Is it important to know the meaning of it? Must it be a keyword?

Quote:
2.It doesn't have to be a keyword but it sure helps with SEO! E.G. Webforumz.com, if it were "happyrabbit.com" everyone would be confused and the site wouldn't get an extra boost in rankings for "web" and "forum" keywords.

Re: noloafing.co.uk
Why not? £8.99 for a domain? That's peanuts, and you know it's worth it!

Re: noloafing.co.uk
Okay - I just went to the nearest UK Domain Site.
I'm Irish - so I have absolutely no clue how much 8.99 is... sounds cheap though. Wait a minute I'll visit a Currency Converter Site. £8.99 - €12.1954 £3 - €4.07038 That's not peanuts - you might as well be buying a millimeter of paper! Ed

Re: noloafing.co.uk
Could you PM me/post the website please? IF I wanted a dot com it would cost me £8.99. Not much, butI would rather get it for £3
---------- Simon, I think your domain kind of, to me anyway, does not make much sense. Surely www.thenetisdying.co.uk would have been better?
