What is a good SEO project for a company? [ask for help]
My company recently is planning a SEO for a website. My company is a real estate company that wants to promote the website to improve the business. I am a web programmer that work in-house of the company. For the SEO, I am absolutely the beginner. Some company set up the SEO plan for our existing website. I am not sure if the plan fits the company like Real Estate. So I would like to get some help or opinion from the profession and peers. The plan is below:
1 Keyword optimization 1. Delivery of keyword market research report with recommendation 2. Examination of completive profile for website ranking 3. Recommendation to garget and optimize the local search 4. Improve indexability and spiderability for the website 5. Struct of HTML (Meta, Title) 6. IA (information of architecture ) modification 7. Site map 2. Content SEO Development 1. Create 15 new content optimized pages 2. Optimized all significant existing content pages 3. Content recommendations and script optimization 3. in-bound link development 1. Paid Directory Listings (I don’t know what is this used for) 2. Organic or viral link development 4. Paid Placement Campaign (PPC) Pay per Click The plan also has optional monthly management and monitoring service. I do not know if the project should include some extra features (such as Blog. Rss) to make the SEO more efficient. I am not familiar with vitral link development and PPC. I do not know what is the advantage and disadvantage even though risk for these tactics? I appreciate if there are any professions to give me a right direction. Thank you in advance. |

Yaodong, this sounds like a sound plan, it's quite generic and would be suitable for most websites.
Link development will be important for improving traffic and search engine rankings, and PPC is a quick win - you pay for traffic to your site. Are you checking whether you should go with this company or are you considering doing it yourself? K |

You can also add blogging and social bookmarking as part of your link building. It will draw a traffic to your site. Another is site monitoring. Search for some SEO tools like statcounter that will help you to monitor your visitors and the keyword competition.

Our technical staff begins by checking the current status of your website to ensure that the optimization process will not be encumbered by any unforeseen problems. One of our staff optimizers will then use manual searches and custom research software to gather data and create a list of the most trafficked and targeted keywords in your industry. Your optimizer will consult with you to choose the best keywords for your optimization.

Agree with social bookmarking idea...it generate a lot of traffic. Still onpage optimization deserve the much broader attention as its the 1st time you are doing..all the marketing stuff.
