Google search shows sub links
Hi all
Say for example I type 'bbc' in to google, it shows me the main bbc link at the top of the search and underneath there are some extra links to various sub section within the bbc website. Is this something we as web designers can do ourselves or does google do it by itself? thanks in advance DG

Re: Google search shows sub links
Google does this on it's own, nothing you can do I'm afraid.
I think sitemaps may help though.

Google is using humans as crawlers through its toolbar, its vary clever really.
the links only follow from within the site - do a google search for adidas the shopadidas link is to a sister site but google doesnt show it. it shows all the rest of the internal links. despite the fact the shopadidas link is probably the most clicked This is the data is toolbar is sending back to google. |

Re: Google search shows sub links
I think you need a very good internal link structure for Google to sort this out too.

Re: Google search shows sub links
Deep linking may help since internal links are crawled by SEs after the main link....

Re: Google search shows sub links
its not a secret;
find what u want to get on google lnk and sublink mode, put some content and link the keywords to other related content in your website. Then go to the second age and put some related links to the 2st page so u can have a two way bridge that helps google flow from one page to another. |
