the-firefox-forum.co.uk is probubly the most SEO friendly domain although firefox-forum.co.uk is probably the most user friendly domain.
I would probably say go for a .com because more American's will view your site as well as British people. I tend to find that American's dont really go on .co.uk's.

If you are gonna buy two domains, then here is my suggestion: buy one with a hyphen and othet without hyphen; I mean www.firefox-forum.com and www.firefoxforum.com
I suggest this because google sees 'hyphen' as a seperator. So you instanylt have two high-rated keywords in your url itself!
