PR via Google & Yahoo News

Some PR agencies offer to submit a press release to Google News or Yahoo News. Does anybody know what that actually means? I doubt my news will make the headline in Google Tech News. So is it just the submission but the other side decides whether to reject/accept it? Thanks!

Press releases can offer a huge amount of traffic to your site temporarily. But actually getting on the news is pretty unlikely. If they write an very interesting article you might but I wouldn't count on it!

Yeah, it could be published in other part depends on what product or service it may fall but i don't think it can reach the headline news. Not unless if that article is about buying the Google Company -- lol! or anything that will catch the attention of the publisher!
