DMOZ the enemy?

Hey, Im checking out some of these posts about dmoz and its not too reassuring.

Ive got a site that's sitting on dmoz with an description thats about 4 years old. I wanna know what will happen if I just delete the description....I do not want to put in new data info...will the description in a search engine just revert to current info on the page? I'm wondering what will happen here. Because the website is currently undergoing a lot of changes its not logical to keep refreshing descriptions. Especially if its taking dmoz forever to update stuff.

Anyone got any ideas on this?

There is a feature at dmoz.org where you can update your listing. I think you have to go to the section that your site is listed and then click the option, "update listing". Why don't you do that?

Re: DMOZ the enemy?

Is there any way to try to get a description updated faster than that?

As it is all done by hand, I guess the answer is no, you just have to sit and wiat, and try not to annoy the admin too much, or they may remove your listing.
