Link Building Strategy

I read so much rubbish in relation to link building, most of the subjects are based around PR and directories. There is however a much better method for building links with a view to increasing a sites position in the main search engines.

Upload this article to your website
Link this article to the main bookmarking sites

As this method is based around content it is viewed as acceptable by Google. It will drive traffic to your website as well as generating strong backlinks.

Well said. I'm a member of Webmaster-Talk and see so much junk in their SEO forums concerning "secret ways to get backlinks", SEO "masters", "gurus" and "experts" (who ask really REALLY basic questions) and other general conspiracy junk.

The real "secret" is that there is no easy way - writing good content is the only way to get to the top and stay there

For Google " Content is the King and links are Queens " so try to get both without spamming internet, you will surely rank higher.

So try to submit in genuine directories.

I agree with you saying that Links are Queens and Content is the King. If you have both of these, then one would surely have a great PR Castle

But picking up random links from non relevant sites wont do you any good. If you want to start a link building campaign, then be very careful in picking up links. I would suggest that go in for highly relevant article pages. This ways you will not only improve your rankings, but will also bring targeted traffic to your website.
