Keywords are becoming ever less important - Google can now assess sites reasonably well itself and keywords specified by webmasters have been widely abused, therefore rendering them fairly useless.

This also seems to be a link drop - self promotion as a first post isn't a great idea...

Keywords are far from dead.

They are the CRUCIAL factor in PPC campaigns.

However, as I suspect you are refering to meta keywords - yes, they are pretty much dead but still in use on some meta engines.

are the keywords you're on about words in content that have been emphasized?
