Re: SEO tips appreciated !

Hi,

Here is your homepage source header part which needs to be correct it as search engine friendly
Code: Select all
<head>
<!-- Welcome to my source, feel free to ponder for learning purposes but all content is copyrighted. Don't fret, if you like my designs contact me for a quote. For those who don't to credit designer like me, I am in the process of designing a site for free templates and scripts.
                                                                                -->

<!--[if lte IE 6]>

<style type="text/css">
body {
        behavior:url("includes/csshover.htc");
}
</style>
<![endif]-->
<meta name="robots" content="index,follow" /><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="total.css" media="screen" />
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta name="description" content="Total Development, professional web design and development by designer Alex Perry."/>
<meta name="keywords" content="Web, Design, Development, PHP, HTML, CSS, professional, freelance, Web-Designer, designer, developer, alexgeek,"/>
Needs to place like this
Code: Select all
<head>
<title>Total Development</title>
<meta name="description" content="Total Development, professional web design and development by designer Alex Perry."/>
<meta name="keywords" content="Web, Design, Development, PHP, HTML, CSS, professional, freelance, Web-Designer, designer, developer, alexgeek,"/>
<meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" / ><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="total.css" media="screen" />
<style type="text/css">
body {
        behavior:url("includes/csshover.htc");
}
</style>
<script  type="text/javascript">
<!--
function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0
  var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new Array();
    var i,j=d.MM_p.length,a=MM_preloadImages.arguments; for(i=0; i<a.length; i++)
    if (a[i].indexOf("#")!=0){ d.MM_p[j]=new Image; d.MM_p[j++].src=a[i];}}
}
//-->
</script>
<body onload="MM_preloadImages('total/header.png')">
This is the proper way to place the codes on the web page. So that search engine crawls and your web page should notice and caches.

Regards,

Re: SEO tips appreciated !

If you are using any JavaScript call it from external file like we call the Stylesheets.

I seen after clicking your website navigations it goes to folder sort of you have done on the url address bar....

like this
http://total-development.com/Contact

If it can be in name format like http://total-development.com/Contact...velopment.html more beneficial for your website.

Rest your site doesn't have anything to put coz less content and no more pages....

Regards,

Re: SEO tips appreciated !

Alex, your site lacks content!

You are competing for the most competitive keywords, (I presume, web development)... you are up against the big boys - including webforumz.com

You need to thinkj long and hard about some good content for the site... each page is around 300 words short of what I would personally class as a minumum.
