SEO for your country

As you can see (if you checked the link) I am not listed in the Irish websites. Obviously, this will have an effect on my business and I want to change it!!

Does it have anything to with the servers I am hosted on being located in the UK?

Google takes into consideration the Geographical location of your server.
Try using the Google GEO IP tool and you'll see that your site is hosted in England (Midlands to be precise).
The only way around this is to find a hosting company in Ireland...

Thanks for the reply.

Okay, but how come marcfraser.co.uk is hosted in the US, but it comes out on top when someone searches Marc Fraser in the UK only sites.

Does Google take account of the extension then (as in .co.uk), not just where it's hosted maybe?

I am sure it does, but not positive. Anyway my site is ranked 1st in the us and it is a .co.uk domain (when i type marc fraser..lol!)

You may think your site is hosted in the US, but according to a trace route on your domain name, it's being hosting in the midlands. That is why you qualify as a result for 'UK Only' searches.
