is there like a quick way to get your site listed in google? or do you have to wait and submit a sitemap and all of those things?

Google will find you, but you can submit your site just to be sure. Try, err... googling it. You'll find the link easy.

best thing I can reccomend is https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
That's where ya need to go. It'll give you some suggestions and such and you can register and watch your website grow or get hurt by google rank.
