Is PHP the right tool for SearchWithin?
Hi, I am new to PHP and to Webforumz, and I would like to be able to search pdf files stored on a website with a simple search tool. A free program, "SearchWithin" from www.searchwithin.com, is able to do this, but I don't know enough about PHP to know if it is the right tool for the job. The documentation says that SearchWithin can be called from the command line or a CGI script:
searchwithin.exe Query="the query" Output_File="c:\the folder\results_file.htm Can anyone advise? Thanks in advance. Webforumz is a great resource! |

Re: Is PHP the right tool for SearchWithin?
Yeah you could do, probably via system() or exec() but you need to watch how your parse "the query" input or you'll leave a massive hole in your system security.
