modules
hey,
i'm a student currently doing 1st year uni for computer engineering, and i'm on holidays atm doing some work experince for an IT company which specialises in web design and web based apps design. I'v been asked to research new and popular types of modules for websites, such as calenders, voting, polls etc... I was wondering if any1 knows whats new and popular with modules for assisting a company in marketing and buisness with their web site. thanx |

Re: modules
When you say modules I presume you mean open source applications?
Take a look at Sugar CRM it's a really nice package with lots of "modules" within it, Calendars, event reminders, address books etc. I did have a demo of it setup on my website but I am in the middle of moving things to a new host so its not up at the moment. If I get it back online today I'll post a link so you can have a play with it if you like? Some others you may want to look at:- Drupal - Content management system, osCommerce - Ecommerce System, Wordpress - Blog System. You can see a quick dirty demo of osCommerce and Wordpress. |
