Re: php cms
do you think it would be a good idea for me to use joomla for my site? should i set it up before making the site look the same etc as the index.html ? should i use it to do this? would it be easy to get dreamweaver to do this? would joomla effect the internal linking of the site and thus effect seo? am i looking in the wrong places for awnsers to these questions?

Re: php cms
If your planning to do web design in the future and you are doing this site for yourself with alot of time to spend on it learn php/mysql and make the cms youself.
Why? because it will help you in the future when you need to use those skills. You cant do free CMS's for every site :P |

Re: php cms
It's quite tricky for a beginner as you have to work with mySQL Databases with queries and quite advanced codes, nevertheless it could be simple. You would need to think of the security though.

Re: php cms
well, i've decided to just use the templating system in dreamweaver for now.
It's taking me a bit of time for the whole site, but at lease i'll be sure of the internal linking structure. i'll learn php another day! |
