Re: Whoever solves this for me gets a nice X-mas card!

Try replacing this part with

PHP: Select all

$values
= array();
$indices = array();

// to make this easier for all involved, parse the
xml_parse_into_struct($xmlReaderfile_get_contents('http://www.empireonline.com/rss/rss.asp'), $values$indices);
It shouldn't be needed but may fix the problem... the code is still the same as mine though

Luke, it's the code thing, it messes up the asciis.
You may want to upload this instead, copy and pasting does not work.

Yes, there is a trailing echo getLatestEmpireNews(); at the bottom of that file I uploaded.

Remove that line.

Re: Whoever solves this for me gets a nice X-mas card!

Sweet! thanks you guys! awesomeness...

Now, one more question. The link seperator.... I've made the output <li><a href="foo">foo foo</a></li> so I no longer need any seperator...what do I need to take out?

Re: Whoever solves this for me gets a nice X-mas card!

Try this:
PHP: Select all

$output .= '<a href="' htmlentities($values[$indices['LINK'][$i]]['value']). '" title="' $values[$indices['DESCRIPTION'][$i]]['value'] . '">' htmlentities($values[$indices['TITLE'][$i]]['value'] ). '</a>' $linkSeparator
Edit - updated
