Securing test enviroment

Ok so here is what I need help with. I have a site that is linked to a php based test. This test with the percentage will be printed out when the test is complete. But to make it secure so no one just prints two and gives it to there friends, I need to make it so they can type in there first and last name and so it shows up all over the final percentage grade paper at the end of the test that will be printed out and given to the teacher.

This might not work since they can just enter a different name...

Re: Securing test enviroment

I no the some code would be great and I have a program that I got off of a site but I don't have the link on this computer but I have it bookmarked on my other computer and ill post it tommarow. And the main reason I have no code is because the teacher hasn't given me the answers so I cant use the program to make the code for me.

Ya I took in the fact that they could put in another name and retake the test but I'm not sure how exactly I would make it more secure. Im not sure how you could make it so you could have the student register then log in and take the test.

O and just a little background. I'm ok using tables and html but nothing more. I am just a high school student in a computer assistant class and the teacher doesn't no how to do this either. The teacher is really just the server administrator for the school and just gives us computers and software like photo shop gimp and dreamweaver to make sites for teachers. And we all just get automatic A's. This is probably the biggest and hardest site I have had to make simply because I know nothing about really putting a site on the internet and security. Most teacher sites are on the intranet and require a drag and drop scenario and no security, the student accounts take care of that. Nor am I fluent in other languages like php, java,or asp.

So any help is welcome and Ill shut it. I talk way to much on forums.LOL

You could track their IP address and the next time they enter the "secure area" (more like "enter-and-get-your-ip-tracked area"), a script could scan the database and look for their ip. If it's already there, the script would display: "You can't retake the test!", or something like that. If you don't like this idea, it's ok. I've never done something like this before, either!
