One-page CMS?

I am wondering if there is a CMS currently available where you download one file, maybe called "installer.php" and then when you open that file in your browser, you fill out a form, press submit, and it automatically builds your entire CMS based on the info you submitted, creating new files and folders and everything. I was working on my CMS today and realized that it would not be that hard to do that, and I think it would be a cool idea (if it doesn't already exist).

What like the PHPBB/Joomla installer as such? Yeh, that would be cool!

The famous 5 minute install. (It's more like 30 seconds.)

Re: One-page CMS?

I don't see what's so difficult with WP, TP, EE, Joomla, Drupal. They are very easy to install, I see no reason to try to simplify this process further because in the process of doing so you will over-complicate it from your point of view and place unnecessary limitations on the end product.

Pete.

Re: One-page CMS?

If anyone is interested in trying out the install for my one-page CMS, go to http://www.danedesigns.com/admin/install.php ... First person to see this post and do it will be the only person until I re-upload the install file since it gets deleted for security.

Features:
-built in wysiwyg editor
-image gallery generator with built in lightbox2
-when you upload an image, a thumbnail of your desired size is created along with it

More features coming soon.

Re: One-page CMS?

Definitely free. There's no way someone would buy this over something like Drupal which is free. I think I am going to promote it from my web site, danedesigns.com and have a little message board for people to post questions, suggestions, etc. and that will increase the traffic to my site, resulting in more potential customers
