PHP Tutorials

I have recently been trying to get to grips with PHP. If I can't manage it this time I have decided I am obviously not cut out for any programming stuff. I am starting to understand the basic now so with a bit of luck it should all start to come together. I have a few decent books that are easy to read and packed full of information (though most do either one or the other, which is annoying.

Anyway, I have come across a cool little resource that has really helped me to understand the basics. They are video tutorials and go from simple "Hello World" and include/require explanations to more complex stuff. They have really helped me get to grips with how things are put together. I don't know what all of the tut's are like as I haven't got that far yet but if they are like what I've already seen then they'll be pretty good. There are also some tut's on other topics such as PS, JS and CSS.

Go to SampsonVideos.com

I would like to know if our php guru's think this any good (ie. correct) and if anyone knows of any otyher great resources for us php starters (other than the part brilliant, part ridiculously overwhelming php.net)

Pete.

Thumbs up Re: PHP Tutorials

I've been going through this set of tut's. Having done a lot of QBasic, there are many similarities, and he does a fair bit of hand-holding with sensible examples...
