Member_login script

hello folks,

Im looking into creating a member login script for one of my sites http://dna.ctsquare.net/sm/ but im having a bit of a problem here.

i followed this tutorials http://www.free2code.net/plugins/art...read.php?id=99 which seems to be preety simple and straight forward.but for some reason i think there is a problem in db_connect.php because when i view that document all i get in a black page.and its included in all the other php files so i cant see anything either.No error prompts or anything.

also im grappling in my mind at require_once 'DB.php'; . the tutorial doesnt have anythng concerning scripts for db.php.i checked two other sites and they have similar things.like config.php but have no scripting for that file only the others.

is there something i dont know about folks? damn straight thats why im here asking.

It says:

We are using the PEAR:B classes for more portable database coding, rather than using database-specific functions.

Which is where db.php comes from.

Hopefully you know how to connect to a database, get information out of it, etc, if not then simply find a basic php mysql tutorial.

As for why you don't see anything when looking at db_connect.php - look at the code. There's nothing there that prints or echos anything out, so you don't see anything! There are certain scripts that you want to do that, such as config files, files that contain common functions and database connection/function files.
