Re: try to open php and asks if i want to open or save file
make sure your started "all services" on wamp .... then id just do an F12 from dreamweaver (assuming the files are in the www root).
However...... why are you using IIS and Apache at the same time? |

Re: try to open php and asks if i want to open or save file
I know. Just getting my head around it all. I tried to start the apache server and it wouldn't let me because it said that IIS was using port 80. So I've uninstalled iis, started the apache server from the wamp5 and it all seems to be working fine. Is this the correct thing to do? Have you any tips for someone starting out with PHP in dreamweaver. Any plugin's i should be using? Also, do I need to change anything to the config files in the wamp5?

Re: try to open php and asks if i want to open or save file
Sorry i cant help ..... allthough i do use dreamweaver a fair bit... i only use it because i like the code colourings and layout aspects, and i code everything by hand.
Also, i couldnt give you an honest opinion of IIS Vs Apache... as ive only ever used apache myself. If your just starting out in php id sugegst two resources that you read again and again. 1) http://www.w3schools.com 2) http://www.phpfreaks.com You wont go far wrong with a little persistance. |
